In Pramanta, one of the most famous large villages of the mountainous Epirus, up there in the imposing Tzoumerka is the leading butcher’s tavern of the region “O Boutzas”. Just behind the church of Agia Paraskevi, in the beautiful village square, Boutza’s tavern is a constant value as since 1957 it has continuously offered excellent meat straight from the family’s butcher shop.
Here the visitor will taste giouvetsi veal, braised zygouri, kokoretsi, mutton on the coals, boiled goat, coq au vin, lamb ribs while their specialty is goat with greens in the casserole.
The friendly young lady Eleni will bring you to try gallotyri, stuffed burger, delicious a la minute meats and finally the spoon sweet (pumpkin-carrot).
